Senior Cloud Platform Developer
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cloud Automation Developer to join their team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building automated solutions in the cloud, leveraging both AI technologies and traditional development practices.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying automation frameworks and cloud-native applications primarily on AWS, with a strong emphasis on DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and AI-driven automation
Role Responsibilities
Design and implement automated cloud solutions using AWS services, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security.
Create and deploy AI agents to optimise operations, automate decision-making, and improve system responsiveness.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and GitHub Actions.
Build and deploy AI-enhanced automation workflows, integrating ML models and intelligent decisioning where applicable.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into application delivery and operations.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
Optimise cloud environments for performance, cost-efficiency, and compliance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the automation and cloud deployment lifecycle.
Stay current with emerging technologies in cloud automation, AI, and DevOps.
Experience / Competences
Strong experience in cloud-native development, automation, and DevOps engineering.
Deep understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, and EKS.
Proficiency in Python or similar scripting/programming languages for automation and AI integration.
Experience with containerisation and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and principles.
Familiarity with AI/ML platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Comfortable working across operating systems: Windows Server, Amazon Linux, RHEL, Ubuntu.
Strong grasp of cloud security and compliance best practices.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
Experience with Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (e.g., Wiz.io, Prisma Cloud).
Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.
Exposure to AI development tools and platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, AWS AI services).
